High School Scholarship (click here for application)

Purpose

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize a graduating high school student with scholastic achievement and contributions to Quality. The amount of the yearly award is $1,000.

Eligibility and Qualifications

The scholarship is open to high school seniors in the Chicago Metropolitan area. The applicant must be planning and eligible to continue his or her education at an accredited university, college, vocational school or junior college within the 2009-2010 school year. Candidates must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale) 0r 3.75 (5.0 scale), complete the scholarship application and submit two letters of recommendation.

Students may apply for and receive a scholarship only once.

Applicants will be judged on scholastic achievement, extra curricular activities and an essay on Quality. The scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities and essay will be reviewed by a panel of judges.

Completed scholarship applications must be received by December 1, 2008. Recipient shall be notified by March 1, 2009. Applications may be downloaded from the ASQ Chicago website.  Completed application packets are to be mailed to:

Scholarship Administration

Scholarship recipients will not receive cash. Payment will be made directly to the educational institution for tuition only.
